Corned Beef & Cabbage


Corned beef and cabbage is a classic dish for St. Patrick's Day. This is a simple, classic recipe using the product in our store.

SERVES: 6
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
COOK TIME: 180 Minutes

Ingredients

1 3-4 lb. Corned Beef Brisket, boneless with juices and spice packet
1 large head Cabbage, sliced into wedges
1 lb. Carrots, peeled
6 large Potatoes, washed and cut into 2 inch pieces

Directions

	Simmering:: Remove Brisket from package. Cover brisket with water, add contents of spice packet and bring to boil. Cover and simmer 2 � to 3 hrs or until fork tender. If desired, add cabbage, potatoes, and carrots for last half hour of simmering. Slice Brisket across the grain and place on serving platter.

	Roasting:: Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Remove Brisket from package. Wrap in foil. Place on rack in shallow pan fat side up. Roast one hour per pound or until fork tender. Let stand 15 minutes before slicing. Slice across the grain.

	Note:: It is recommended that for best flavor, any juices in the package be used in cooking the product.
